EducationMatters, Calgary’s public education trust, is the PLUS for students. We fund innovative public education enhancement programs and scholarships, to help Calgary students succeed, and to enrich their learning experience. We focus on higher needs students and the areas of literacy, leadership/civic engagement, career/life skill development, ESL/diversity and successful transitions. We also promote and facilitate public engagement with public education. We believe the best public education happens when the community participates in its development and that a strong public education system is the cornerstone to a healthy, vibrant society. To date we have raised over $3.2 million in contributions from the community, have established over 70 funds, issued $1.4 million in grants and impacted approximately 50,00 students and their families!
