It was just before noon on Saturday, June 4th, 1988 when we opened the doors of our first Cheesecake Cafe location, on Macleod Trail in Calgary, Alberta.
Five minutes later, our first guests walked in. And The Cheesecake Cafe was in business.

(Just for the record, it was a family of four: Dad had the chicken fried steak, Mom had the meatloaf, the kids each had a burger, and they each had their personal favorite cheesecake for dessert. That family’s been back dozens of times. In fact, they're now bringing in their children’s children.)

Since then, we've added four more locations and thousands more hungry customers. In fact, we figure we've served 13,500,000 guests over the years - families, couples, kids, teens, seniors, everybody comes here - and they keep coming back for more.
